With a history dating back to 1816, Cater Allen is experienced in providing specialist solutions for your clients with tailored accounts for Trustees, Executors, Personal Representatives and Attorneys. They are a wholly owned subsidiary of Santander UK plc and enjoy the benefits of their shared strength and security. Santander UK plc has an A credit rating. Cater Allen have their own banking license and are covered separately by the FSCS guarantee.

They have longstanding experience of working with and understanding the requirements of Trusts and their Trustees. Cater Allen's accounts can also be used by Executors or Personal Representatives appointed to administer the estate of a person who has passed away. They also offer tailored accounts for professional deputies who manage the financial affairs of clients who don’t have the capacity to make decisions themselves.

There is no need to book an appointment to open an account and accounts can be operated by telephone, by post and online, depending on the type of account held. The monitoring of accounts is available online via their dedicated Intermediary portal and professional, informed support can be provided to clients via a dedicated UK-based client contact centre.

Current accounts: Day-to-day bank accounts

• Reserve Account for Trusts - Allows up to 30 day-to-day debit transactions per month without incurring a transaction fee, with no minimum balance and no annual or monthly account fees. Day-to-day debit transactions on the Reserve Account for Trusts are cheque withdrawals, Standing Orders, Direct Debits, bill payments and electronic payments.

• Sterling Bank Account - A personal current account for Executors, Personal Representatives and Attorneys, which offers full banking facilities with no annual or monthly fees and unlimited free day-to-day transactions each month.

• Investment Account - This account is also appropriate for Executors, Personal Representatives and Attorneys and offers full banking

  facilities, allowing up to 20 day-to-day debit transactions per month, without incurring a transaction fee, with interest paid on balances above £500,000.
  
  

Notice accounts

The Cater Allen notice accounts allow clients to make an unlimited number of withdrawals free of charge, providing they’re able to give the notice required. They are suitable for clients who may not require immediate access to their funds. If the balance of the account is over £5,000 you are able to make one withdrawal, without notice, free of charge per calendar year for an amount not exceeding £2,500. Interest is paid on balances above £5,000.
